Now-a-days WhatsApp has become so popular that everyone installs it for sure on a smart phone. Almost all the smartphone users, irrespective of their OS platforms are using WhatsApp. Even some phones are entering into the market with WhatsApp pre-installed. Since this is the best and easy application that people of any generation can use, most of them prefer to go with it. Along with this, it is providing an awesome calling feature that enables users to make calls for free. There’s also another feature introduced called WhatsApp Web by which you can chat with your friends right from your laptop’s web browser simply by scanning QR code so that you need not switch between your laptop and mobile phone during work.

Use 2 WhatsApp Accounts On A Single Android Phone
Getting straight to the point, even if you use a dual SIM phone, there is a limitation of using only one SIM (number) for WhatsApp account. In this post you’re going to get introduced to a new app called “OGWhatsApp” that works just like WhatsApp. By this you can be in touch with friends with both SIMs (numbers) i.e; you can use 2 WhatsApp accounts on a single Android Phone. You should have an Android phone with both the SIMs active. Once you’re done with the process, you might not need the SIM to be active. The requirement expires once you enter the verification code. All you need to do is, follow the instructions given below.
OGWhatsApp An WhatsApp Alternative
Note: OGWhatsApp has stopped updating because of certain restrictions; so the old version of OGWhatsApp doesn’t work. Here I have put in the anti version of OGWhatsApp which will run efficiently.
Step 1: First of all, if you already have WhatsApp installed, make a backup of your data from settings by going to Settings > Chat Settings > Backup Conversations.
Step 2: By this you won’t loose any of your WhatsApp images, Videos or others. Go to File Manager > Internal Memory and you’ll find your stuff there. Just rename “WhatsApp” folder to “OGWhatsApp”. By this, your old WhatsApp stuff will merge with OGWhatsApp.

Step 3: Go to Settings >Apps >WhatsApp > Clear Data. It is better to have a backup of WhatsApp.apk file. You can do this with “Apps Backup and Restore” app available in Google play store. After having backup of app you can uninstall it. Below is a screenshot of how it looks when you go to the mentioned path.
Step 4: Download Anti OGWhatsApp from the link here and install it on your phone.
Step 5: Like in original WhatsApp, it will prompt you to enter your phone number. Type your SIM1/SIM2 number here and proceed to next step. This should work same like how WhatsApp used to. Below is a screenshot of how it looks.
Step 6: To enable WhatsApp to the other number, now simply install/restore the original WhatsApp which you backed up in the before step 3.

Step 7: Now open it and when it asks for phone number, give your other number and click on OK.
By following the above steps you should have your 2 SIMs enabled with WhatsApp on a single Android smartphone. This is very much helpful for those who use dual SIM phones and sadly having a single SIM enabled with WhatsApp. This can also be implemented on single SIM phones. Ultimately you will end up having your 2 phone numbers with active WhatsApp. And YES..! You can use them simultaneously.
