Sony is the 2017 awarded most best smartphone for this year at GloMo awards with their newest flagship Xperia XZ Premium. They exhibit four at MWC 2017 which are the Xperia XZ PRemium, Xperia XZs, Xperia XA1, Xperia XA1 Ultra.
Now let’s go ahead and heck why Sony is the Best for this year 2017
It has the stunning deep sea black color with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and the back. The corners are rounded which looks like squarish and large bezel at the front which has the camera and Sony Logo and below. The home button is hidden underneath the glass which you can see but you can be able to hold the phone with good grip. It’s slightly heavier other than the new released phone which is 195g. At the back is very shiny which is a magnet for smudges and fingerprint but it’s not so bad. At the side on the right you can see the volume button above, power button with fingerprint scanner for easier unlocking of your device at the middle, camera button below it. On the left side is the slot for nano sim card and the Sd card slot up to 256GB of extra memory storage. On top you have the microphone and the 3.5mm headphone jack. At the bottom you have another microphone and the slot for charging and data transfer which is type C charging slot.
Has 5.46” IPS LCD display with 3840 x 2160 resolution giving 807 ppi. If you’re going to compare the video with Samsung S7, you may appreciate the S7 at the beginning but the Sony XZ has more natural colors to it and the shading and everything.
The rear primary camera is very high with its 19MP which can capture image with high quality and records video in 4k HDR enabled display and has the option of recording it in slow motion with 2160p at 30 frame per second (fps) at panorama and 720p at 96 fps HDR. The front camera is also high compared to other smartphone devices with its standard 13MP with 1080p resolution.
The Sony XZ Li-on battery is non removable with 3230 mAh which is pretty low from the usual 4k mAh battery. When it comes to battery life it may drain faster due to the latest chipset but the latest Snapdragon 835 offers 34% smaller size and 25% less battery consumption and still offers great performance. To prolong the battery life you may just control apps running in the background by turning off some notifications or by using app greenify.
It has 4GB of RAM which is pretty much okay and the latest Snapdragon 835 to give longer battery life and lifelike Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) to have an incredible mobile experience.
It has an IP68 rating which can really protect from dust and water resistant for 30 minutes and 1.5 meters in height.
Some may don’t like the thick bezel at the front in Sony XZ premium compared to the Samsung S8 bezel less design but if you look at the features you can clearly see that the XZ is much more higher since S8 bixby is at its early stage, biometric features has still some flaws and other more but it doesn’t mean there’s no room for improvement and when Sony XZ premium will be released on June 2017 with a reasonable price then it will be of good value.
